Xiaomi announced the official launch of “Xiaomi SU7” in Beijing yesterday. The price starts from RMB 215,900 for the standard version, which is comparable to the Tesla Model 3. As for the higher-configuration Pro version and Max version, the price is respectively RMB 245,900 and RMB 299,900.
Some “Xiaomi fans” have begun to pre-order car the SU7 already, right after the launch event. Xiaomi announced that pre-orders exceeded 10,000 units in 4 minutes, 20,000 units in 7 minutes, and 50,000 units in 27 minutes after it was launched.
Xiaomi’s ADR rose more than 10% in the early part of the U.S. stock market, nearly 10% higher than Xiaomi’s Hong Kong share price at the close of yesterday’s market.
