The highly anticipated Tesla electric truck, the Cybertruck, is finally available, starting price at $60,990 without incentives and $49,890 with incentives. The Cybertruck’s Cyberbeast version starts at $99,990 with incentives at $96,390 and will be delivered in 2024.
Since its debut in November 2019, investors and tesla fans have been waiting for the Cybertruck to arrive. Musk described the truck’s development and production challenges as “extremely difficult,” thus delaying the delivery.
The Wall Street expects about 1,500 Cybertrucks to be delivered in 2023 and about 78,000 in 2024. By comparison, deliveries of ALL Tesla models are expected to reach about 1.8 million in 2023 and about 2.2 million in 2024.
Among the buyers taking delivery of Cybertruck today is Alexis Ohanian, co-founder of social media site Reddit.
Over the past 12 months, Tesla shares are up about 24%. By comparison, the S&P 500 and Nasdaq Composite have risen about 12% and 24%, respectively. As of Thursday’s close, Tesla was down 1.66 percent at $240.08.
